Combining extensive research and firsthand experience, Liberty & Justice Firearms was established with a clear mission: to provide a boutique, low-volume, high-service firearms shop tailored to the needs of recreational, sport, and competitive shooters.
Unlike traditional gun stores, which often prioritize high turnover and impersonal transactions, Liberty & Justice Firearms is designed to offer a more personalized, customer-centric approach. We call it “The L&J Way ©”.
Operating by appointment only, we eliminate long wait times and impersonal service, ensuring every customer receives dedicated attention in a relaxed and friendly environment. Nestled within the offices of R.T. Frankian & Associates, our store offers a welcoming space where enthusiasts can order quality firearms and accessories, find guidance based on current research and personal experience, and a community of like-minded individuals passionate about the sport.
MEET OUR FOUNDER
Drawing on his 40+ years of coaching experience, Jim Frankian brings a wealth of experience to his clients.
His focus on developing individualized training based on a client’s experience level and shooting goals is both difficult to find and prohibitively expensive in the firearms training world. Whether it’s your first time handling a firearm, a competitive shooter looking to raise your classification, or a LEO preparing for an upcoming qualification, Jim will work with you to develop the range training program the will move you to accomplishing your goals.
Using a blend of encouragement and accountability, training clients should see clear improvement after each session. While maintaining a relaxed and fun atmosphere, clients will be appropriately challenged through the use of drills and exercises during their time at the range.
Prior to each session, Jim and the client will co-develop the upcoming training session through email, text or a phone discussion.

ORIGINS
Liberty and Justice Firearms was born out of a personal transformation, reconnecting with an old passion, and a commitment to providing a better experience for firearm enthusiasts.
What began as a journey toward self-improvement and wellness evolved into a mission to serve and support the recreational, sport, and competitive shooting communities with unmatched service and customer care.
A PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION
Like many, the challenges of the pandemic brought significant lifestyle changes.
In a quest for better health, our founder committed to a disciplined regime of fitness, well-being, and personal development. With unwavering dedication, he achieved an incredible milestone—shedding 110 pounds and reclaiming control over his health. This transformation was not only physical but also mental and emotional, guided by the encouragement of family, friends, and professional mentors.
Seeking a constructive outlet to replace old habits, our founder rediscovered and committed to improve on an old passion—recreational and competitive pistol shooting. What began as a simple pastime quickly evolved into a disciplined pursuit of skill, knowledge, and the pursuit of personal goals in the world of firearms.
FROM PASSION TO PROFESSION
Striving to achieve his personal goals, our founder immersed himself in rigorous training and education.
He earned certifications from the National Rifle Association (NRA) and the California Department of Justice (DOJ) as a firearms instructor. He also became a certified NRA Range Safety Officer, ensuring safe and responsible firearm handling for others.
In addition to training, our founder actively engaged with the shooting community, securing memberships at local ranges and participating in various competitive shooting organizations such as GSSF, USPSA, IPSC, and IDPA. These experiences reinforced the importance of precision, discipline, and camaraderie within the shooting sports.
Through relentless effort and perseverance, our founder navigated the extensive process of obtaining a Federal Firearms License (FFL 01) and a California Firearms Dealer License (CFD). This rigorous journey, which included public hearings, background checks, extensive paperwork, fees, and an intensive interview process with ATF agents, was a necessary step in bringing this vision to life.
