On Consignment

In California, consignment is a common method for selling firearms, allowing individuals to place their firearms with a FFL where they can be sold on their behalf. The FFL is responsible to ensure that all the sales comply with applicable Federal, State and local laws and regulations.

For residents of California, consignment services are available at LIBERTY & JUSTICE FIREARMS. Any California resident who can complete a Dealer's Record of Sale (DROS) and pick up the firearm from our location in Santa Clarita is eligible to purchase a consignment firearm.

When placing firearms for sale on consignment, it's important to understand the terms and conditions, such as fees and commission rates. For example, LIBERTY & JUSTICE FIREARMS charges a commission ranging from 25% - 35% on consignment sales over $300 and a $75 flat fee for items with a sale price under $300. Typically, payment occurs within 2 business days after payment in full AND delivery of the firearm to the purchaser. Occasionally, a portion of the consignment sale can be paid in advance.
